Spitaki is something that the foreign visitor will rarely find available to rent.  Part of a large, old stone-built Captain's house, built over 100 years ago, its metre-thick walls keep the house wonderfully cool in summer and warm in winter.   It was renovated to a high standard three years ago and now provides very comfortable accommodation for 2-4 people.  All the windows in the property are double glazed and shuttered (against the heat) with integral insect screens to discourage mosquitoes.

Located in a quiet backstreet, close to the Church and within two or three minutes walk of the sea, the house has been beautifully renovated.   It has high ceilings everywhere with exposed beams upstairs and with floors of marble, wood or handmade terracotta.

The house sits in its own little private garden with terraces for dining or just sitting. There are comfortable seats and deckchairs  for relaxing.  There is a small barbecue and a large canvas umbrella against the sun in high summer.

The accommodation comprises:  One huge bedroom with vaulted ceiling, kingsize bed and sitting area.     This opens through French windows to the upper terrace where you may relax in the shade or sun during the day and take your favourite tipple to watch the sun set in the evening.

The marble finished ensuite bathroom has wc, two wash hand basins, a full size bath with hand shower and a separate double shower cubicle.

Water is provided through an on demand system, giving the convenience of hot water at any time of night or day.

Here you will find a music system with some CDs.   The system will also take MP3  -  either way,  you might like to bring your own music. 

DOWNSTAIRS the Sitting Room can also be used as a twin-bedded room with its own shower room off.   The room can be closed to the rest of the house without compromising the living accommodation in summer as living is very much al fresco.

Linen and towels are included in your rental - you will also find hairdryers in both bath and showerrooms. 

The large Kitchen/Dining Room opens onto the Lower Terrace and a small, private garden with dining table and sun umbrella.

The Kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, full oven and hob (electric) as well as all the equipment for cooking and eating in.  An automatic washing machine is situated in the separate boiler room.  You will also find an iron and ironing board.
